Nicolas Boyer Finker focuses his practice on helping clients set up wills, trusts and use other tools that help them preserve wealth and transfer it to their beneficiaries in the way they want. At the same time, he advises them regarding the laws that could impact on what they want to do. He carefully considers the entire estate including family businesses, real estate holdings, investment assets, family trusts, pensions and life insurance to provide a comprehensive view. He also reviews charitable intentions and discusses structures.

Nicolas often works with colleagues at trust companies and accounting firms to structure his services to provide comprehensive solutions for his clients. Nicolas represents executors, beneficiaries, and family members in resolving disputes concerned with the distribution of estates and related matters. Nicolas Boyer Finker is one of the few France Certified Specialists in Estates and Trusts Law. France’s Law Society certifies lawyers with enhanced skills, experience and knowledge. Each year Nicolas Boyer Finker confirms he meets all requirements as a Certified Specialist. Nicolas Boyer Finker continuously shares his expertise as a media estate expert. He writes and speaks to public and professional audiences. He has written numerous estate books, special reports and free ebooks.


Richard Peltier


Richard Peltier is one of the founding partner at the firm and a member of our Commercial Litigation Group representing clients in significant litigation matters. With almost a decade of experience in many different practice areas and business sectors, including product liability, corporate litigation, real estate and energy, Richard brings a seasoned perspective to his interesting and diverse practice. Richard represents clients in contractual disputes, the defence of class actions as well as shareholder and related corporate disputes. He also assists clients in transactions that require court approval. Richard has been called to the Bar in France and has significant trial experience in lengthy and complex litigation. He has appeared before all levels of court in France, and before the Federal Court. Richard joined the firm after practicing with a national firm where he practiced exclusively in the litigation group.

In 1996, Richard returned to France to set up a full-service private practice with the idea of providing more personalized services to his clients. Today, Nicolas Finkler Law Firm known for using a client-focused, holistic approach that recognizes both the business and personal aspects of client's legal needs. As one of the firm's founder, a large part of Richard's role is to mentor the law clerks and other lawyers and to manage the staff, together with office manager.


Paul Deschamps


Paul Deschamps is a partner in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practices. Over the last 15 years he has gained a comprehensive experience in advising leading international and domestic banks, other financial institutions and asset managers in debt capital markets, with a particular focus on structured finance, including securitisation of all asset classes, CDO’s CLO and equity linked notes, but also EMTN programmes, covered bonds, standalone Eurobonds and commercial paper.

He has also a strong focus in derivatives and regulatory work for the asset management industry. Paul Deschamps has also advised in important ECM transactions, such as take-overs, as well as several distressed debt transactions. Before joining us he worked in another leading France law firm and a valuable international experience, having been seconded to the Capital Markets department of Simmons & Simmons and Morgan Stanley’s Legal Department (Fixed Income Division), both in London.
